Hi! I'm Marie-Julie!

I'm a jeweller, seamstress, and 3D artist (quite the résumé, I know!)

My love for the arts is, I believe, endless! I took sewing classes for over ten years and also taught sewing for several years. I worked for a Montreal-based designer who created eco-friendly clothing and accessories using recycled fabrics.

I completed my college degree (DEC) in 3D animation and image synthesis, then earned my Bachelor's degree in visual effects for film and television. Altogether, I worked for six years in the VFX industry for both local and international companies.

I eventually studied jewellery and lapidary arts (the cutting of precious and semi-precious stones) at the École de joaillerie de Montréal.

Five years ago, I decided to leave my job to embark on this incredible journey of building my own business and making a living from my passion and art. I now dedicate myself 100% to my business! And that’s how Atelier Majuli came to life—driven by a pure thirst for creation, a longing for freedom, hard (and sometimes relentless) work, and a huge dose of love.

With Atelier Majuli, my mission is to transcend the ordinary by adding a touch of magic to every outfit and celebrating the spark that resides within each of us. That’s why my unique, handcrafted jewellery pieces go far beyond simple accessories. They allow us to reconnect with the part of ourselves that marvels at the magical and fantastical world around us. By wearing these creations, we give life to that inner magic and add a sense of wonder to our entire being.
